Civil Engineering Executive
Location: Fort Worth or Austin, REQ462
RESPONSIBILITIES
JOB DUTIES:
- Lead, direct and manage the overall technical and general operations of the civil line of business with a large scope of 80+ employees across all regions of the company to ensure and sustain discipline excellence
- Manage and project revenue, cost of services, operating expenses and contribution margins, ensuring congruence with the goals and objectives of the Chief Operations Officer
- Provide timely and successful delivery of contracted serviced within planned and allocated resources within the line of business
- Coordinate with and support each of the Regional Executives in the preparation of detailed written business plans and financial projections for the development of the line of business
- Provide technical and profitable project execution for the Civil Line of Business
- Provide sales support to Regional Executives and Project Managers
- Build and continuously improve line of business capabilities and processes to deliver services efficiently and effectively
- Promotes overall productivity, morale, and career development of all employees within the Civil Line of Business across all regions
- Will serve as an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE:
- Extensive knowledge of civil engineering
- Proficient with MS Office 365
- Advanced knowledge estimating costs associated with technical tasks
- Advanced understanding of project requirements including contract review and proposal preparation
- Advanced understanding of project financial performance metrics

EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent degree
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 15 years related experience in Civil Engineering
- At least 10 years prior project management experience with large-scope projects
- Experience in both private and public sector work
- At least 10 years prior experience directly managing large teams across multiple offices
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Air conditioned office environment
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
- Exposure to extreme weather and various terrain during occasional site visits
- Travel to all office locations
