Survey Field Assistant

RESPONSIBILITIES:

JOB DUTIES:

  • Conduct all daily survey preparation, including loading the vehicle with all necessary supplies and ensuring all equipment is fully charged and functioning
  • Conduct basic plan reading to prepare for surveying at hand (i.e., site plans, boundary plans, highway plans, profile and cross sections, horizontal and vertical curves, pipeline plans, foundation plans, and developing existing and finished contours)
  • Perform basic surveys including leveling, traversing, boundary surveys, construction surveys, topographic surveys, and horizontal/vertical control surveys
  • Operate, check, and make basic field adjustments on field equipment to include but not limited to transits, total stations, robotic total stations, data collectors, levels, compass, tribrachs, tripods, and GPS equipment (RTK, RTN, Static, etc.)
  • Interpret control and boundary monument records and data sheets, as well as locate control and boundary monuments in the field
  • Drive company vehicle to and from job sites and company premises when needed
  • Ensure equipment and supplies are organized and orderly in equipment storage room

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

SKILLS:

  • Proficient with mid-level math
  • High attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Good analytical skills

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions including extreme temperatures and grassy/rocky or steep terrain
  • Exposure to potentially harmful plants and wildlife
  • Must be able to walk, stand, kneel, bend, twist, squat, climb and reach while surveying project sites and operating survey equipment
  • Must be able to lift and carry axes, survey supplies, additional equipment weighing up to 50 pounds to/from and during job site visits
  • Must be able to use a brush axe, machete or hammer
  • Occasional travel requiring long-distance commutes, overnight stays, or temporary relocation near a job site

Human Resources Coordinator

Location: Fort Worth

JOB SUMMARY
Provide full and detailed administrative/coordination support in the areas of benefits, wellness, payroll, HRIS function and maintenance, worker’s compensation/safety, communications, and other aspects of Human Resources as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience
• High school diploma or GED
• At least three – five years of administrative Human Resources experience, specifically in payroll and benefits
• Experience with and exposure to busy and dynamic HR environment

Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Knowledge of employment & benefits law and legal reporting requirements
• Solid proficiency working in an HRIS/payroll system
• Demonstrated ability to effectively and confidentially handle sensitive employee/company information
• Solid know of and proficiency with MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint

Soft/Other Skills
• Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills
• High attention to detail and process orientation
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong initiative for efficiency and accountability
• Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously and accomplish a large amount of work

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• HR/Payroll certification a definite plus
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business
• Five plus years of Human Resources experience
• Pursuing career in Human Resources
• Familiarity or prior experience with ADP Workforce Now
